Large disc necklaces

I have been making some larger disks to turn into necklaces. These will really catch your eye.

This necklace has large discs which have been impressed with different textures and patterns. After firing, the discs were painted with acrylic paint and the surplus wiped off before it dried so that the residue was left in the impressed patterns. I think they look striking. Thes discs are 2 different shades of beige which makes them look like bone or ivory. The have hollow backs and are much lighter in weight than they appear.

These large discs are pearl clay and the surface pattern is achieved by rolling the clay through the roller with surgical gauze
