New pictures of old pieces

I attended a really useful photography course at the London Jewellery School just before Christmas and I have been practicing my picture taking on some old pieces to see if I could get better pictures. These Japanese flower cane disks look much better in this photograph than they did in the previous pictures I took. It was virtually impossible with my old camera to get pictures which showed the cane slices clearly but you can see them here and I'm quite pleased with the picture although I need to get some proper photographic lights and use them with the camera tent to get rid of the reflected flare.
