Happy memories to all

Have a really happy and peacful holiday and best wishes for 2012. I will be busy designing and making over the holidays and hope to post some new pics and project tutorials in the New Year.

On the right are some earrings that I really like because they combine the coolness of fine silver with the warm glow of copper. The silver hearts and copper tubes were made from clay, the round beads are bought sterling ones. For some reason they remind me of my childhood.

I hope you too have happy memories of your childhood over Christmas time.

Polymer clay hearts - less than half

Hi,
Here is a picture of some of the polymer clay heart pins that I have made recently. This is less than half of the finished hearts as I was in a rush this morning and didnt have time to lay all 100 out for the photograph. I believe there will be a photographer around later in the week and I'll try to get a picture of all of them together then. Its been a struggle getting them all finished in 2 weeks and I'm glad its over for now and I hope we can sell at least a few to raise money for the Student Hardship Fund.

My other work has taken a back seat while heart production has been going on but I have managed to make a few more squares necklaces one of which is shown here. I'll be adding them to the shop soon.

PS. the round shape in the middle square was made with the cap of a Liquid Polymer Clay bottle, looks cool eh?

What have I been doing?

Here is a photo of just some of the watercolour squares necklaces I have been making lately. They are variously strung with Turquoise, Labrodorite, or Amethyst beads and Tibetan Silver beads. I prefer the 3 square combo as it hangs better in the neckline. If you have 5 beads (as in my previous post) the necklace hangs lower and it doesnt work so well.

Another project I'm working on is 100 heart pins to raise money for the University's Student Hardship fund. Pictures when I have them. I have started dreaming about hearts already and am only about half way to making the 100 hearts I promised.
